Celebrating 15 Year of Service and A New Location

Serving Over 10,000 Members Across the US!

 This year we are honored to celebrate 15 years of service and announce our expansion into a new office in Malvern, PA. Our new 7,800 square foot facility will enable us to better serve our community as it houses our growing operations, volunteer work, warehouse storage, and offices for our staff—all at a lower cost than current rental properties.

It is such a luxury to take care of oneself, but it is an honor and privilege to take care of each other. Thank you for recognizing what an honor it is to take care of each other and putting your service into action each and every year.

Celebrating 15 Years of Service

Unite for HER was founded on September 29, 2009, following CEO and Founder Sue Weldon’s personal breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. After raising funds through the Pink Invitational gymnastics fundraising event, UFH was able to host its inaugural “Wellness Day” at Paoli Hospital for 26 breast cancer patients, educating them about integrative therapies (like acupuncture, massage therapy, nutrition, professional counseling, and more) and funding and delivering services directly to patient.

Today, Unite for HER has expanded to support breast and ovarian cancer patients nationwide. This year, we were honored to support 10,628 patients nationwide, delivering all therapies, services, and education at no personal cost.

September 29, 2024, marked a significant milestone: 15 years of service for Unite for HER. Over these years, we have reached nearly 38,000 patients since our founding and delivered more than 161,000 integrative therapies and resources. We provide a supportive community for everyone who walks through our doors, helping them find hope, healing, empowerment, and access to essential services.

What began with just 26 women at Paoli Hospital in 2009 has blossomed into a program serving over 10,600 participants annually, impacting individuals in every state across the U.S.

A New Home

In August 2024, we finalized the sale of our new headquarters. On October 17, 2025, we moved into a remarkable 7,800 square foot facility right in the heart of Malvern, Pennsylania. Malvern felt like home from day one; many in Malvern residents and business owners knew about Unite for HER personally, and the community welcomed us with open arms. This new space includes private offices, a conference room, dedicated volunteer space, and ample warehouse storage. It’s more than just a building; it’s a hub for growth and efficiency.

One of the most exciting aspects is how this facility supports our operations and volunteer activities. It opens new doors for us to enhance the services we provide to our community. We’re not just growing in size, but also in capability.

A Growing Impact

This year, we supported 10,628 members through our wellness programs, providing integrative therapies, services, support, and education at no personal cost.

The Empowered Living Program experienced unexpected growth, supporting  4,583 members nationwide—3,000 additional members than initially included in the fiscal year’s budget.  Awareness of our comprehensive care model continues to grow nationwide as cancer centers, hospitals, and nonprofit partners continue to refer their patients to our unique programs.

This year, services for the Empowered Living Program were expanded to offer members with continuous support and education (valued at $1,000 per patient). The ELP is open to members at every stage of their journey, regardless of the diagnosis date, and is designed as a true survivorship program, making them lifelong members of the UFH community.

  • Access to live 6-week virtual workshops with our experts covering engaging topics such as: Meditation, Fitness, Beauty as Wellness, Acupressure, Ecotherapy, and more
  • Access to our educational network and resource library, UFH Connect

Our robust educational programming continues to expand each year. This year, we were honored to launch a new iteration of our resource library and virtual event programming: UFH Connect Digital Educational Network. 

Led by our Senior Director, Erin Pellegrin RD, LDN, UFH Connect includes live and recorded events: Speaker Series, Ask the Experts, and a Virtual Hangouts, virtual cooking classes, and virtual interactive educational workshops led by UFH care providers and medical and wellness experts. 

These series educate and empower our members, as well as offer a communal space to connect with other members. All sessions are also hosted in our video library.

This year we embarked on a new collaboration with Touch: The Black Breast Cancer Alliance during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Care for HER seeks to educate about disparities in health care, the impact of integrative care and culturally tailored nurse navigation support while directly providing these services to Black Breast Cancer patients in the United States. This unique program is an awareness campaign with real impact.This new collaboration was featured in media and events in Philadelphia, Raleigh, and Washington, D.C.

Additionally, we expanded our in-person orientation offerings, hosting our first national Wellness Program Orientation in Chicago, Illinois.

Spirit of Service Award

Alison Marcelli

Alison Marcelli is a dedicated weekly volunteer who is especially crucial in preparing the weekly shipment of care boxes for patients nationwide. She began her service with Unite for Her in Fall of 2021. Alison is an amazing supporter and spokesperson for UFH at various outreach events and functions and is former program member. Alison previously spoke about her experience in the 2023 Bloom Fashion Show, and her kind heart and caring spirit shines through in all that she does.

Community Partner Award

Constellation has been an incredible and dedicated supporter of Unite for HER over the past few years, consistently demonstrating their commitment in numerous meaningful ways. Their team showed remarkable dedication by participating in our 5K event despite a hurricane, and they further honored us by selecting Unite for HER as one of the recipients of their annual golf outing proceeds. Constellation also hosted Unite for HER for a community breakfast that brought together several local nonprofits to honor all of the impactful work being done in our community. Their support extended to attending our Harvest event and organizing a box build initiative, significantly contributing to our mission

Student Spirit of Service Award

West Chester University Abbé Society

The Abbe Society is an organization of female students that commits itself to the service of others on campus and throughout the surrounding community.  Under past and current leadership, Abbe Society members have supported Unite for HER on a weekly basis throughout the academic year.  Various society members have served UFH by performing different tasks that enable UFH to ship Wellness Care boxes and educational materials to breast and ovarian cancer patients.  The members of AbbeSociety never feel a task is too small or too challenging.  Over the past several years, students arrive reliably at the Unite for HER office with positive energy and move quickly to the task at hand.  They have assembled wellness care boxes, replenished materials for the care boxes, organized our storage area, move heavy cases from pallets to storage shelves, and a variety of other tasks.  They have volunteered at UFH key fundraising events such as the 5K and Pink Invitational.

Corporate Partner Award

Throughout the year, Lilly’s involvement has been comprehensive and impactful. They have participated in care box builds, facilitated employee engagement events, and prioritized listening to testimonials and the patient voice to ensure we meet the community’s needs. Their commitment extends to supporting our wellness programs and events, showcasing their dedication not just for isolated activities but throughout the entire year.
