Caramelized Onion, Pear, Walnut and Sage Flat Bread

- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F with a rack in the middle of the oven.
- Heat olive oil in large sauté pan over medium heat. Add onions and salt. Sauté onions until golden brown and caramelized, about 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mix in balsamic vinegar and 2 tablespoons of fresh sage.
- Brush the top of the flat bread with a light layer of olive oil.
- Spread caramelized onions evenly over the dough. Then top with pears and walnuts.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, top with blue cheese, then finish baking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven, garnish with the remaining fresh sage and enjoy!
