As our programming has shifted a virtual model, all incoming participants receive a HER care box directly to their homes. Each box contains products, Cancer-Fighting Cookbook and educational materials, and is packed by volunteers in our office.

Volunteers can choose a re-occurring schedule for in-office work.  The work could include assembling HER Care boxes, collating educational packets or other miscellaneous tasks.  We are currently scheduling for the period January through March 31, 2021.  Please notify Carol at cnowrey@uniteforher.org if you prefer a day/time slot and if you prefer weekly or every other week.

This allows us to continue to social distance and follow all the recommended safety protocols.

Your actual start and end time are flexible as long as we stagger the number of people working in our office at same time. We recognize inclement weather or unforeseen personal needs will keep you from coming into the office.  We completely understand so no apology necessary – we so appreciate the time you can give!

Special Need for Fridays in May and June 2021: We are in need of volunteers to help prepare HER care boxes for shipping. Tasks involve labeling boxes and light lifting of HER care boxes.   Preferred time slot is 1:00-3:00.

Remote Volunteer Opportunities

If you prefer to volunteer your time and work from home, some of the tasks could include:

  • Phone Calls – reminder phone calls to woman registered for Wellness Program.
  • Folding or collating materials.

For at home work, volunteers are asked to pick up materials and drop off to the UFH office (127 E. Chestnut Street, West Chester, PA).
